Commissioned by The Darkness...for their second (and final) album.
The brief was to portray an olde steam train hurtling outa heaven through the rolling hills of merrie England...downward into the abyss...the angels of heaven top left turn into bats outa hell on the right...and the engine has the rusty beaten up look of the truck out of 'Duel'.
Sadly I can't see a reason.
I mean.. ok, it's beautifully drawn and the colours give a phantastic contrast between the firery right and the naturebased right.
But art isn't purely about colours and drawing. It's about a symbolism behind each single piece. And I just can't see it in here.
